The Story
Chimera floor lamp, designed in 1966 by Vico Magistretti for Artemide, is a landmark of Italian Space Age lighting. The fixture is defined by its tall, undulating body made from a single sheet of heat-curved white opal methacrylate. Its sculptural presence and fluid geometry create a captivating play of light and shadow, making it a definitive icon of 20th-century design.
Condition
Excellent vintage condition. The white methacrylate structure is well-preserved, maintaining its original translucency and iconic wavy profile without cracks or yellowing. The metal base is solid and all internal components are fully functional.
